David Haysom - Macbeth

This is David’s first show with Alberta Theatre Projects. Most recently, he was in Macbeth Un-Scotched at Spirit Fire Theatre and starring as William Shakespeare. Trevor Rueger - Reverend Pringle

Trevor is the Executive Director of Alberta Playwrights' Network and the drummer for Calgary's preeminent party band, Hello Penguins. David Sklar - Judas Iscariot

David is an actor/playwright who divides his time between Montreal and Calgary. He is a graduate of theatre from the Bristol Old Vic and playwriting from Concordia University. Crazy Love, his first play, has been published in an anthology entitled Out on a Limb. His play, Vial, was shortlisted for the Sharon Pollock Prize. He was artist-in-residence at the Jerusalem Theatre Company, Shakespeare-in-the-Rough, and assistant directed the Canadian Badland’s Passion Play in Drumheller. He has acted with Theatre Calgary, Alberta Theatre Projects, Lunchbox, Theatre BSMT, Annerin Productions, Theatre Northwest (B.C.) and Blue Bridge Theatre (B.C.). He has toured across North America with the Dora Award nominated and META Award winning, Jabber, by Marcus Youssef and toured with A Dinosaur Tale across Western Canada.



David Trimble - Malleable Charlie Brown

Having taken a 10-year Hiatus from Theatre to focus on Film and TV, David is stoked to be back on the boards with such a stellar group of Artists! He was last seen at ATP in Unity 1918, and at playRites 2005 in Mick Unplugged - directed By the Late Great Gina Wilkinson. Selected theatre highlights include Jake and the Kid, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Our Town, Saint Joan (Theatre Calgary); Lion in the Streets, Trainspotting, Drinking in America, True West (Sage Theatre); Blue Surge, Bash, The Pillowman (Ground Zero); Ivanov, Arcadia, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, Much Ado About Nothing (Theatre Junction). TV/Film highlights include: Brokeback Mountain, Damnation, Heartland, Hell On Wheels, Fargo, Retail, Forsaken, Klondike, Broken Trails, Wynnona Earp, Joe Pickett and One Night in Aberdeen where David won an AMPIA Award for Best Actor in a Lead Role. Special love and appreciation to my daughter Grayce, who continually reminds me that life is too short not to do what you love.



W.O. Mitchell - Playwright

W.O. Mitchell was born in 1914 in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. A keen curler, he wrote The Black Bonspiel of Willie MacCrimmon originally as a short story for a magazine. It was later adapted as a radio play, then made into a stage play that has been seen by hundreds of thousands of Canadians over the years. A man widely known as “W.O.” is the author of many successful books, most notably Who Has Seen the Wind. His other books include How I Spent My Summer Holidays, Since Daisy Creek, Ladybug, Ladybug… , Roses Are Difficult Here and For Art’s Sake. He is also noted for two collections of short stories, Jake and the Kid and According to Jake and the Kid.



Christian Goutsis - Director

For 30 years, Christian has worked across Canada, the US, and abroad, as an actor, director, musician, writer, and teacher. He has worked extensively at major theatres all across Canada including; ATP, Theatre Calgary, Vertigo Theatre, Lunchbox Theatre, The Shakespeare Company, Hit and Myth, The Citadel Theatre, Tarragon Theatre, Globe Theatre, The Belfry Theatre, Vancouver Playhouse, Neptune Theatre, Ground Zero, Stage West, TNB, and twice toured throughout the UK with Ghost River Theatre. He has been featured in numerous films and network television programs for CBC, Syfy, NBC, YTV, CBS, Hallmark, and many independent productions. He is a produced playwright, composer, teacher, and multiple Betty Mitchell Award winner. Christian is Voice Director and Casting Director at Six Degrees Music and Sound, as well as the Director of the Six Degrees Performance Academy.



Conrad Belau - Assistant Director

Conrad is a non-binary, hard-of-hearing award-winning queer theatre director, actor and educator. In Calgary they’ve worked with Theatre Calgary, Ghost River Theatre, the High Performance Rodeo, Alberta Theatre Projects, Lunchbox Theatre, Stage West, Inside Out Theatre, Vertigo Theatre and many other predominant organizations. They are the creator and performer of the Instagram Livestream phenomenon MONO MAN MIA!, for which they won Broadway World’s “Vocalist of the Decade”. They are the Theatre Arts Director at Youth Singers of Calgary and work with the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium as an Arts Education Facilitator. Much love and admiration to Alix for her continued love and support.



Jane MacFarlane - Dialect Coach

Jane has taught theatre at a variety of universities and is currently on faculty in the School of Creative and Performing Arts at the University of Calgary.



Scott Reid - Set & Props Design

Scott Reid has been designing for theatre, opera and dance for over 30 years. He is a set, lighting and projection designer. He has enjoyed designing for such diverse projects as theatre for young audiences touring shows, new plays, as well as large-scale operas and ballets. Caroline Broadley - Costume Design

Caroline is also the Head of Wardrobe for ATP and is thrilled to be designing her first show for the company. She recently had her design debut with The Shakespeare Co. and Hit or Myth’s production of Hamlet presented by Brampton on Stage. Caroline just celebrated achieving her 25th season with The Stratford Festival as Master Sewer II, Wardrobe Show Head, and Wardrobe Attendant. She has worked for many theatre companies across Canada including Theatre Calgary, The National Ballet of Canada, RMTC, Theatre Aquarius, and Summer at the Roxy. She’d like to thank her friends for their support and encouragement, her family for their nurturing of creativity, and her nieces, Violet and June, for being her two biggest cheerleaders.



Narda McCarroll - Lighting Design

Narda is grateful to be collaborating with this talented group of artists, artisans and technicians creating live theatre here in Calgary. Andrea Wettstein - Music/Sound Design

Andrea Wettstein is a Composer, Voice Director and Producer at 6 Degrees Music and Sound in Calgary. She specializes in writing music for film, TV and Commercials, and has won multiple AMPIA and Anvil awards for her composition work. Her credits include music for Fly Over Canada (an amusement park ride based in Las Vegas + Vancouver); Travel Alberta’s ‘Remember to Breathe’ campaign; Historica Canada’s Heritage Minutes; and documentaries ‘Close the Divide’ and ‘In The Name of Your Daughter’. Andrea is also an avid vocalist and songwriter. Andrea would like to send a big thanks to the team at 6 Degrees, as well as ATP for this opportunity.



Sara Turner - Stage Manager

Ferne Hudson - Assistant Stage Manager

Originally from the UK, Ferne graduated from London’s Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a degree in Stage Management. Ferne worked as a Stage Manager in London for 10 years before moving to Canada two years ago. Stage Management credits include: A (R)evolution of Steve Jobs, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Magic Flute, Cinderella, Twelfth Night, Once On This Island, Much Ado About Nothing, A Christmas Carol, Sleeping Beauty, The White Card, Little Red Cap, Jack And The Beanstalk, On McQuillan’s Hill, Rapunzel, As You Like It, Hello and Goodbye, Saturday Night, Floyd Collins, First Lady Suite and The Wall. Ferne worked as Assistant Stage Manager for ATP’s 2023 production of Bombay Black.



Kate Pallesen - Assistant Stage Manager

Kate has been actively working on operas, plays, and live events across Alberta since graduating from the University of Lethbridge with a BFA in Technical/Design Theatre in 2017. She also recently expanded her craft into new roles, working in Digital Marketing for Pochsy IV and Drama: The Pilot Episodes (Keep Frozen / Lime Green Kitten Productions). Kate has toured across Canada as the Stage Manager for bliss: the birthday party play (Verb Theatre), touring to Victoria’s Uno Fest and to Ottawa’s National Arts Centre.
