Wheelchair and limited mobility access
The Martha Cohen Theatre and ATP Administration offices are accessible to guests in wheelchairs or using other mobility assistance devices. However, certain areas require key cards or a staff escort to enter.
When purchasing tickets, if you or anyone in your party requires accommodations for wheelchairs or other mobility assistance devices, please call our Ticket Office at 403-294-7402 to arrange seats that will be best suited for your needs. (ATP Ticket Office hours: 10:00am-4:00pm MT, Monday-Friday. The Martha Cohen Theatre Box Office will be open on performance days 1 hour prior to performance start time.)
For guests who require access to the elevator or wheelchair seats while attending a performance at the Martha Cohen Theatre, please speak to a member of our Front of House team at the doors for assistance entering the theatre as it requires special access.
Accessible parking and washrooms are available in Arts Commons and the Martha Cohen Theatre.
Assistance for guests with hearing loss
The new Arts Commons/Werklund Centre Sennheiser MobileConnect+ system means that you can experience high quality sound transmitted live to your Bluetooth-enabled hearing devices, this includes Hearing Aids and Cochlear implants, or your everyday earbuds or headphones.
The MobileConnect+ system is designed to be compatible with your Hearing aids or Cochlear implants by connecting to an app on your phone or tablet. The app will then connect with our sound system to enhance your hearing while attending productions at the Martha Cohen Theatre.
- STEP 1: Download the app, by visiting the app store, or scan the QR code available on ATP’s website (below), in the playbill for each show or at the coat check inside the Martha Cohen Theatre lobby. Downloading the app to your own phone, tablet, or a device already connected to your hearing aid or cochlear implant provides the best connection, however Alberta Theatre Projects provides tablets with the app pre-downloaded for patron use. Tablets must be signed out at the coat check in the Martha Cohen Theatre lobby and returned at the end of the show.
- STEP 2: When in the venue you will be able to connect to #MobileConnect wifi.
- STEP 3: Using your device’s camera, scan the Venue QR code, which will be available at the coat check or in the playbill, to join the program for your performance.
ATP Front of House Staff will be available at the coat check during shows to offer any additional assistance and troubleshooting.
