Sam and Jimmy have been friends for more than twenty-five years, and were supposed to be facing “gay middle age” together. When Sam dies, it’s up to Jimmy to plan their final picnic. Jimmy steals Sam’s cremated remains from the funeral home and tries to give his friend the hilarious and heartfelt send-off he deserves.

“Both tragic and wildly comedic” (Charlebois Post), Stealing Sam was the runaway hit of the Toronto Fringe Festival (2013) and winner of ‘Best New Drama’ at the United Solo Festival in New York (2014). We’re thrilled to be bringing Calgary audiences this reimagined edition, live on the Martha Cohen Theatre stage.
