ATP 2026-27 General Auditions
Alberta Theatre Projects will be holding General Auditions in Calgary on March 1st and 2nd, 2026. Auditions will be scheduled through submissions, and will take place at the Alberta Theatre Projects Rehearsal Hall (220 9th Ave SE Calgary).
Two representatives from ATP will be in attendance. At this time, we are only accepting applications from Artists who can make in-person auditions, with priority given to Calgary and Alberta locals. Only submissions from Artists over the age of 18 will be accepted at this time.
TO PREPARE:
Please prepare two monologues totaling no more than 4 minutes. Monologues should be contrasting and showcase different sides of your artistic ability. Contemporary monologues are encouraged.
HOW TO SUBMIT FOR SCHEDULED AUDITIONS

Headshot and resume should be submitted in a single pdf file and titled with the following format: Last Name_First Name.
The deadline for submissions is February 19th, 2026, at 1:00pm. Successful applicants will be contacted to schedule an audition time. Of the Artists selected to be seen, Equity members will be given priority scheduling.
Alberta Theatre Projects is a member of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres, and engages professional artists under the terms of the Canadian Theatre Agreement.
ACCESSIBILITY
The audition, rehearsal, and performance spaces at Alberta Theatre Projects are accessible via multiple elevators from within the Werklund Centre. Some entrances to Werklund Centre, including Stage Door, require steps; to coordinate access to the space through an accessible entrance, please contact Megan Jovie at auditions@atplive.com. Artists cast in any production will not require staff assistance to enter rehearsal or performance spaces. One dressing room is fully accessible.
