AUDITION NOTICE:
Alberta Theatre Projects is holding auditions for THE SEAFARER in Calgary, Alberta.
PLAY: The Seafarer by Conor McPherson
DIRECTOR: Peter Pasyk
PRODUCTION DATES: October 15 – November 10, 2024
FIRST REHEARSAL: September 17, 2024
AUDITION DATES: April 27 & April 28, 2024
AUDITION LOCATION: Arts Commons in Calgary, Alberta, room TBD
CASTING PERSONNEL IN ATTENDANCE:
- Peter Pasyk (Director)
- Haysam Kadri (ATP Artistic Director)
- Additional ATP team members and decision makers may be in attendance
SUBMIT TO AUDITION BY THURSDAY, APRIL 18
Auditions will take place in person at Alberta Theatre Projects April 27-28, 2024 with times to be confirmed. Successful applicants will be contacted to arrange an audition slot by April 19, 2024.
ROLES:
- James ‘Sharky’ Harkin (male, fifties/sixties. Erstwhile fisherman/van driver/chauffeur. He’s had a rough life. Self-loathing but tough. Dublin accent.)
- Richard Harkin (male, late fifties/sixties. Sharky’s older brother, recently gone blind. Irascible bully. Alcoholic. Dublin accent.)
- Ivan Curry (male, late forties. An old friend of the Harkins. Somewhat hapless and helpless. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Ashamed of his marital situation. Dublin accent.)
- Nicky Giblin (male, late forties/fifties. A friend of Richard’s. Nervy and wily, but good humoured. Fancies himself slick. Dublin accent.)
