What do you do with a used Wedding Dress?

You loved it. You wore it. You looked ravishing in it! And it’s been sitting in your closet ever since. Maybe it’s been months or even years since you wore your wedding dress – have you ever wondered: what do I do with it now? Perhaps you’d consider donating it for art!

Let the memories of your gown live on, and celebrate being part of theatre magic! Alberta Theatre Projects’ upcoming production of Undressed, written and performed by Louise Casemore, NEEDS YOUR DRESS! We are asking our community to consider donating their gently used wedding dresses as set dressing for ATP’s upcoming World Premiere. We’re looking to acquire as many dresses as possible, to ensure the stage is filled with lace, satin and magic.

Wedding dresses should be white or off-white, any size, from every era. They should be in reasonable condition, and if possible, we’d love a photo of the dress emailed before drop-off. Donors don’t need to take a picture specifically for us, but could include a wedding photo.

As thanks for your donation, and so you can see your dress LIVE on stage, we can offer dress donors two complimentary tickets to see Undressed, which runs January 26 – February 13, 2022, at the Martha Cohen Theatre in Calgary.

Dresses can be dropped off at the Arts Commons Stage Door, 220 – 9th Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta.

Donation deadline is December 1 – to arrange your donation, or for more information, please contact Vicki at Alberta Theatre Projects at 403-294-7475 ext 1098 or vtrask@atplive.com
