Fifteen Dogs

This production is a Joint Production with Alberta Theatre Projects (Calgary, AB) and Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre’s Tom Hendry Warehouse (Winnipeg, MB). 

Over drinks at a local watering hole, Greek gods Apollo and Hermes wager that any animal would die unhappy if granted human intelligence. For their experiment, they choose man’s best friend – fifteen of them. After “the change”, the dogs marvel at their gift of language and revel in their newfound mindfulness. But curiosity turns to unrest when clashes over status, freedom and conformity threaten the pack. As the gods meddle from above, the dogs wrestle with the complications of their new world order, often with devastating, and sometimes hilarious consequences. Will they roll over and accept their fate or stay true to their natural instincts? 

ATP 2026-27 General Auditions

Alberta Theatre Projects will be holding General Auditions in Calgary on March 1st and 2nd, 2026. Auditions will be scheduled through submissions, and will take place at the Alberta Theatre Projects Rehearsal Hall (220 9th Ave SE Calgary). 

Two representatives from ATP will be in attendance. At this time, we are only accepting applications from Artists who can make in-person auditions, with priority given to Calgary and Alberta locals. Only submissions from Artists over the age of 18 will be accepted at this time.
