Lorne Cardinal – Henry

For ATP: Debut. Elsewhere: Where the Blood Mixes by K. Loring (WCTC and Theatre Network), Thunderstick by K. Williams (Persephone Theatre, Theatre Aquarius and Theatre Network). Lorne also assistant-directed and played Albany in the National Arts Centre’s production of King Lear. Lorne has numerous credits in Film and TV, which can be seen at imdb.me/lornecardinal. He is also appearing as Sgt. Davis Quinton in CTV’s new Corner Gas: Animated, due in early 2018. Lorne would also love to thank his wife, Monique Hurteau, for her unending love and support to make this wonderful show a possibility. Enjoy.



Lucian-River Chauhan – Eddie

Lucian-River was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan to an interfaith family and is entering the 3rd grade at École St. Sylvester. He has lived in three rural cities and one town before settling in Calgary. This summer, Lucian-River celebrated Canada's sesquicentennial with the Junior Young Canadians at the Calgary Stampede Grandstand show and he is overjoyed to continue the celebrations with his debut at ATP with this iconic Canadian play. Love and gratitude to Mom, Dad, Baa, Dada, family, friends & mentors. Bonne fête Canada!



Emma Houghton – Bess

Emma Houghton is an Edmonton born actor/singer/dancer and a recent graduate of the BFA Acting program at the University of Alberta. Select theatre credits include The Lady from the Sea, Bright Burning, The Government Inspector, and God's Ear(Studio Theatre), You're a Good Man Charlie Brown(Opera Nuova), Parade(Opera Nuova), The Tempest(U of A BFA), The Orchard(U of A BFA), Assassins(Loose Ends Theatre), and A Midsummer Night's Dream(The Citadel). She looks forward to the excitement of creation and performing for years to come. Love to her nearest and dearest.

Helen Knight – Mary

Helen is honoured work with Glynis and such a talented and generous cast and crew. Special love and thanks to Owen, Olive, and Mom (who first introduced her to the delicious world of the Tudors).



Myla Southward – Kate

Kate Hennig – Playwright

Kate is a diverse, multi-award-winning theatre artist, with over 35 years of professional experience as a performer, including seasons on Broadway, with the Royal Shakespeare Company and with both the Shaw and Stratford Festivals. She has an MA (Distinction) in Voice Studies from the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England, and is the proud recipient of the 2015 Christopher Plummer Fellowship Award for excellence in the classical theatre. Kate has recently been appointed Associate Artistic Director of the Shaw Festival in Canada. Kate is writing a series of plays about the Tudor queens, which began with The Last Wife, premiering at the Stratford Festival in 2015, and enjoying a completely sold-out and extended run. The US premiere took place at TimeLine Theatre, Chicago, in September 2016. The Last Wife was short-listed for the Carol Bolt Award and is on the curriculum at Queen's University and Glendon College. The Virgin Trial, the second play in the series, opened in June 2017 at the Stratford Festival, and is already largely sold out. Kate is currently writing a third play in this series with the working title: Father’s Daughter. This season will also see the premiere of Wilde Tales: Kate's adaptation for the stage of Oscar Wilde's stories for children. Wilde Tales debuts at the Shaw Festival in June 2017 and runs through the end of September. Kate lives and writes in both Stratford and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada. www.katehennig.com.



Glynis Leyshon – Director

Artistic Director for Belfry Theatre in Victoria and The Vancouver Playhouse, where she won numerous Jessie Richardson Awards including Best Director for Equus. TV credits include 5 seasons as host of Knowledge Network's By The Book.



Laryssa Yanchak – Fight Director

Laryssa is Canada's only female certified Fight Master and the first woman in Canadian theatre history to win an accredited award for Fight Direction (Betty Mitchell Award, Treasure Island for ATP and Quest Theatre). She is thrilled to be working once again with the stellar folks at ATP. For ATP: The Apology, Dust, The Valley, Legend Has It, Games. Elsewhere: Romeo and Juliet, Othello, The Three Musketeers (Alberta Ballet); with JP Fournier: Carmen, Dead Man Walking, Moby Dick (Calgary Opera). Jane MacFarlane – Vocal Coach

Heather Moore – Costume Design

Awards: Outstanding Achievement Supporting Acting (Calgary High School Drama Festival 2017), Outstanding Achievements in Directing, Drama and Advanced Acting (Dr. EP Scarlett High School 2015-2017). Sydney has also been a member of ATP’s FRESH PRINTS Student Writers Group for two years. She gives thanks to her friends, family, teachers and mentors who have worked closely with her for many years.
